Group trips are fun… shared plans, spontaneous moments, inside jokes by day three, and long nights around the table where no one wants to go to bed. Finding a place that actually works for everyone is the hard part.
I’ve been in your shoes (more times than I can count), so I’ve pulled together some of my favorite group stays. These are the rentals I send people to for bachelor and bachelorette trips, couples getaways, family vacations and escapes with your closest friends.
Every stay below works for groups, but they’re very different in feel. Scroll through, explore a bit, and when something feels right… you’ll know.

Villa Zyanya: Oceanfront luxury for milestone trips when you want it to feel extra special
Casa de las Palmas: South-end private villas. Flexible, spacious, and great for any group
Casa Hamaca Turquesa: Punta Sur villa for relaxed, high-end adult group trips
Evolve Isla: Big, bold villa for large groups and unforgettable gatherings
Casa Mimosa: Beachfront home that actually works for families and friends
Casa Seven: Modern Punta Sur comfort that suits families and friends
Casa Sirena: Hacienda-style house for social groups who want town at their doorstep
Villa Aruma: In-town boho villa for friends who want beaches and food steps away
For a group celebrating something special, Villa Zyanya hits that sweet spot between wow and comfortable. It’s absolutely beautiful, oceanfront, modern… but it doesn’t feel precious or stiff. You can dress up, pop champagne, cook together, sprawl on the terrace, wander off for quiet moments, then come back together again without ever feeling on top of each other.
What I love most is how the house is laid out. There’s a secret garden feeling the moment you walk through the front gates. The garden path leads down to this amazing glass front door, and then you step into the house… all breezy and open with the Caribbean stretched out in front of you.
The indoor-outdoor flow means quiet mornings turn into afternoons by the pool, and then evenings drift into long dinners filled with laughter. The three upstairs bedrooms all have private balconies with ocean views. The downstairs bedroom is poolside and is wheelchair-friendly.
The separate garden guest house is also a huge plus… it’s like its own little retreat for those who want more privacy without breaking the group vibe, which matters more than people admit. 😉
It’s not a sandy beach villa, so you’re not there for swimming right off the property… but honestly, the views, breezes, and calm Punta Sur energy more than make up for it.
Bottom line… if you want a place that feels special enough for a celebration, but still relaxed and easy to be together… Zyanya is absolutely a yes!

It’s one of those places that just works for families and groups of friends. You’ll notice right away how relaxed it feels. It’s colorful, cheerful, and spread out in a way that keeps everyone happy.
There’s a big central pool that instantly becomes the hangout zone, surrounded with grassy garden space where kids can burn off energy, and plenty of shaded spots for the adults to sit back and supervise… or pretend they’re supervising. It feels like a private little compound, which is gold for group vacations.
The four bedroom main house is roomy and comfortable for gathering, cooking, and hanging out together, while the two casitas have their own space to retreat to. That separation helps keep the peace, especially when some people want quiet and others are still very much in vacation mode.
It’s not fancy over the top luxury, and that’s actually the charm. The decor is bright and tropical, the vibe is easy and unfussy, and no one feels like they’re going to “break” the house by breathing too hard.
Bottom line… Casa de las Palmas is one of my go-to recommendations for large groups and families with kids and teens. It’s comfortable, flexible, and with enough space for everyone to do their own thing and still come together.

If you ask me for a grown-up, no kids, deep-exhale kind of group stay, Casa Hamaca Turquesa is one of the first places that comes to mind. This is Punta Sur luxury done beautifully and confidently… big open spaces, thoughtful touches, and really good energy.
What really sets Hamaca Turquesa apart is the main living space. It’s big and dramatic without feeling cold, with soaring ceilings, ocean views straight ahead, and this incredible sense that everything is happening at once, but somehow it all works. The kitchen, dining area, and living space flow together, and then there’s that upper-level loft and curved balcony looking down over it all. You’ll have people hanging on the couches, dominoes on the convertible game table in the loft, and someone always drifting in or out from the pool. It feels lively, connected, and very much designed for groups who like being together without being stuck on top of each other.
The heated infinity pool stretches straight toward the Caribbean, there’s a lounging shelf with stools for half-floating chats and afternoon drinks. Plus there’s an oversized hot tub that somehow becomes the unofficial meeting spot after dark.
Bedrooms here are all about comfort and privacy. Four king suites face the ocean, each with its own outdoor space. The fifth bedroom looks onto the garden and feels just as calm. Everyone sleeps well, wakes up happy, and no one feels like they got the “extra room.”
And then there’s the staff… things just happen. You never feel hovered over, but everything is taken care of before you even think to ask.
Hamaca Turquesa is a place to slow down, reconnect and celebrate life. If that’s the vibe you’re after, it’s your perfect group stay.

Evolve Isla is not just a big house, it’s an experience. It’s the kind of villa you choose when the trip itself is the event. Family reunions, milestone birthdays, weddings, retreats, big friend groups who don’t want to split up… Evolve actually handles numbers without feeling crowded. Four floors, tons of outdoor space, multiple gathering zones, and enough visual wow that people never get bored just being there.
Groups naturally spread out… some people floating in one of the pools, (yes, you read that right… 2 pools), others at the swing bar, a few hiding out on a terrace, someone starting a yoga session on the rooftop. Then, without any planning, everyone ends up back together around the fire pit or the conversation pit swapping stories late into the night. It feels social without being forced.
8 spacious en-suite bedrooms are another big reason this works for groups. Plus, the loft space with cargo net that doubles as an extra bedroom (the kids will call dips on it). No one feels like they got the short end of the stick, which matters a lot when you’re sleeping 20+ people.
And then there’s the direct water access to the sea. Add in daily breakfast prep and suddenly a huge group trip feels way more relaxed than it has any right to.
This is not a quiet little villa where you tiptoe around. It’s bold, playful, social, and designed for memory-making. If your group wants something unforgettable and has the numbers to justify it, Evolve Isla is a big, confident, I envy you… Yes!

This is one of those places I recommend when someone says, “We’ve got everyone coming.” Kids, teens, adults, grandparents, friends of friends… Mimosa just handles it.
What it’s really good for is mixed-age groups who want to live together without feeling cramped. It has that true family-home energy… warm, colorful, a little playful, and very forgiving. People can be loud by the pool, someone else can disappear to a terrace or the rooftop, and nobody feels like they’re in the way. That matters a lot when you’ve got teens, younger kids, and adults all under one roof.
The big win is the beach location on Sac Bajo. You’re not crossing roads, loading golf carts, or negotiating “five more minutes” with kids in swimsuits. You wake up and the beach is right there. The pool and jacuzzi sit just off the sand, so everyone kind of flows between ocean, pool, shade, and snacks without effort. It’s easy, and easy vacations are the best ones.
I also love this place for groups because there are multiple living areas with an open living room and full kitchen in the house, a massive poolside palapa with an outdoor kitchen and grill for meals and hangouts, plus a rooftop bar that’s a favorite for sunset watching. The new casita is a bonus too… it gives a couple of people their own zone without breaking the group feel.
Is it sleek, minimalist luxury? No. Is it comfortable, fun, and genuinely great for families, and big groups? Absolutely yes.

Casa Seven sits on the southern cliffs, facing the sunrise, and it’s very much about clean lines, open space, and those gorgeous Caribbean views. Inside, everything flows together… kitchen, dining, living area… so the group comes together without trying. What I love most is that Seven is a really comfortable house to stay in, beautifully decorated but not so fancy you’re afraid to touch anything. It feels like a home built for laughter and fun.
Imagine sunrise coffee on the terrace or your private bedroom balcony, kids drifting in and out of the pool or playing on the grass, a lively game of ping-pong, plenty of pool lounges and outdoor nooks for some quiet time, then everyone ending up stretched out on couches for late night chats.
All five spacious bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The best bit for families… a kid-centric bedroom with bunkbeds and a king bed, perfect for them to sprawl like a bunch of puppies and watch movies.
The terrace, palapa, grassy area large enough for a wedding, and the over-sized heated pool give you plenty of space to spread out. You can grill, lounge, swim, play, or just sit and stare at the water while someone else does all the planning.
Which brings me to their options for concierge services and private chef (take advantage, it’s seriously good!). And take the cooking class, it’s loads of fun! You’ll laugh, learn, eat, and make forever memories.

If your group wants to be right in the middle of Isla life, Casa Sirena is such a fun choice. This one’s all about location, walkability, and that buzzy, happy-in-town feeling where you can wander out for coffee, tacos, shopping, or Playa Norte time without jumping on a golf cart or flagging down a taxi. You’re tucked into a quiet corner of Centro, but just steps from the town square, the ferry, and some of the best food on the island.
The house itself feels like an old Isla grande dame that’s been lovingly brought back to life. It’s Spanish colonial, full of character, and spread vertically over several floors, which actually works really well for groups. The ground level is where people naturally gather… big kitchen, long dining table, indoor-outdoor lounge, and a leafy courtyard with a plunge pool that instantly becomes the chill zone between outings.
Most bedrooms are stacked on the upper floors, all with ensuite bathrooms, which makes sharing easy and drama-free. Everyone has their own space to retreat to, and because there are no TVs in the rooms, people actually come back downstairs and reconnect. It’s one of those subtle things that ends up making the trip better.
And then there’s the rooftop. Honestly, this is where Casa Sirena steals hearts. A private bar, dipping pool, and those wide-open 360° views over the island, ocean, and sunset. It’s the kind of spot where one drink turns into three, someone puts music on, and suddenly you’re all laughing under the stars wondering how you got so lucky.
This isn’t a beach villa and it’s not meant to be. It’s a walkable, social, celebratory house, perfect for groups who want to be in the center of it all and still have a peaceful stay to retreat to.

If your group wants to be right in the middle of everything, able to walk out the door and straight into Isla life, Aruma Villa fits the bill. This is Centro living at its best… restaurants, bars, music, beach days, and late nights. What I really love is that you’re steps from beaches, restaurants, and bars, but once you’re inside the house, it actually feels quiet and peaceful.
Aruma feels boho, relaxed, and social without being messy or chaotic. It’s the kind of place where people drift in and out all day… someone heading to the beach, someone grabbing coffee, someone already stretched out on the rooftop. It works especially well for groups of friends who like being together but don’t want to feel stuck in a villa on the other side of the island.
There’s a fully equipped kitchen that opens to a palapa-covered dining and living area, which naturally becomes the hangout spot. And then there’s the rooftop… a small plunge pool with a waterfall, plants everywhere, and just enough privacy to feel like your own little oasis floating above the buzz of town.
The five bedrooms are spread over three levels, all with their own bathrooms, which makes sharing a non-issue. Everyone has a place to retreat, shower, recharge, and then rejoin the group when they’re ready. The decor is rustic, artsy, and very Isla… not polished luxury, but warm, intentional, and full of character.
This isn’t a quiet, early-to-bed house. It’s a walkable, fun, Centro stay for people who want beach days, great food, music, and the freedom to wander without thinking about golf carts or taxis.
