Tucked away on the oh-so-quiet Sac Bajo, Villa Makax is a shimmering gem that treats its guests to breathtaking turquoise waters, stunning sunsets, and the distant twinkling lights of Cancun. Here, the sunsets don’t just set – they perform, painting the sky with colors so beautiful, they’d make a rainbow jealous.
Ensconced within private walls, this tranquil haven is home to four palapa-roofed cottages – because who doesn’t love a bit of rustic chic? Each cottage a mere stone’s throw from the private beach and comes with a king bed, a kitchenette, and a seating area, perfect for couples or singles and, of course, an undisturbed siesta.
The property is so spacious, you could easily lose yourself in the lush gardens – but don’t worry, the inviting heated saltwater pool is always there to guide you back :) And while you might feel a million miles away from the rest of the world, restaurants and beach clubs are just a leisurely stroll away with the rest of the island easily accessible by taxi or golf cart.
Villa Makax is the loving creation of owners Steve and Lindell, who purchased the property in 1975 and slowly crafted this slice of paradise. Beyond providing a perfect vacation destination, they are celebrated on Isla Mujeres for their dedicated work with the challenged children of the island at The Little Yellow School House. Now, that’s a holiday with heart!
